Vogelnetz

The article aims to show to what extent the intra- and intertextually intertwined bird motifs in the “Lindenlied”, “Tristan” and “Parzival” contribute to the imagination of transgressive love and aesthetic innovation. The ornitho-poetological considerations focusing on the nightingale and magpie are formulated against the background of the conspicuous presence of birds in contemporary literature, which we have every reason to find worrying.
