Specifics of Service Quality

Lean Management, Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma were developed to improve efficiency of manufacturing processes and quality of products. Lean Management was applied to optimize material flow, eliminate non-­value-­added activities, and maintain the pull principle in processes. Six Sigma, on the other hand, provided methods and tools to improve the quality of products achieving zero-­defect rate (3.4 defects out of 1,000,000 opportunities).
